It’s gonna be extra “el-lay” up in the spot, with performances from a couple indies including The Robotanists - a band getting a lot of love as of late. This is a great call for anyone looking to drink way too much and hear some damn fine music. And it’s a Friday…plenty of time to rest up and go back to raging Saturday night.

The band’s name is New Kingdom. If you haven’t heard of em, you defffffinitley wanna check em out. They recently released a 7-song EP called Naked Time (the band’s frontman is on the cover ass’d out, literally) and it shows some range. From the soulful (almost painful) Red Walls to the frenetic dance gem “When Can I See You,” this EP is solid from both musical and lyrical standpoints.
Yo LA. Join me this Sunday at The Viper Room to check out Indroves. They go on at 10p. I’m not gonna tell you what they sound like or who they remind me of. I WILL say that they’re getting nods from all the right heads. Think about that one.
